HARANGI DAM
The Harangi dam, built across river Cauvery, and located eight km from Kushalanagar is an ideal picnic spot. Behind the dam is a vast reservoir. On the banks of the reservoir stands a temple of Basavanna. There is a guesthouse nearby. Permission for entry to the dam site can be obtained from the PWD office located at the entrance to the dam.
